At GreenFoilNature GmbH, we are passionate about creating a sustainable future. Our goal is to reduce dependency on fossil fuels and drive environmental protection by developing fully biodegradable and recyclable product solutions based on the unique properties of marine polysaccharides.
While 70% of our Earth’s surface is covered by water, only 3% is potable, with the vast majority being salt water.
Powerful Source of Nature
Algae use CO2 in photosynthesis to convert carbon dioxide into organic compounds, exhibiting the highest ever reported growth rate for an autotrophic, multicellular organism—four times the daily norm—producing up to five times more biomass per unit area than terrestrial crops, and thriving with non-potable water on non-arable land, including brackish, saline, and wastewater environments.

Our seaweed-based applications offer 100% natural resources and are fully biodegradable. They are suitable for a wide range of uses, from industrial to medical applications.
About us
The founders Tobias Irkens, a pharmacist, and Philipp Wisse, an engineer, have a background in medical technology and have successfully used algae in various medical applications. Their experience and enthusiasm for algae led to the founding of GreenFoilNature.
